Readers can add comments directly to this project using Hypothesis, an open source system for collaboratively annotating web pages.
You will need to create a free account to add annotations with Hypothesis.
To add a comment to any page, please click on the arrow at the top right corner of the page while logged in to your hypothesis account. This opens up a sidebar with several menu options. At the top of the sidebar is a title which opens up a dropdown menu when clicked. This menu gives you the option to add public comments that anyone can read, or to add comments within a private group.
If you are a member of my dissertation committee, I have sent you a link inviting you to join a private group called "Committee Defense Notes", which is visible to all committee members. Please make sure this group is selected before adding any comments.
Once you have selected the appropriate group, you can add a comment to a text selection on any page. To add a comment, use the cursor to highlight a word or phrase in your browser, then select "Annotate" on the popup box next to the highlighted selection. To comment on the page as a whole, click the "document" icon in the top right corner and enter your comment in the text box. Click on the arrow in the top right corner to view all comments posted on that page within the private group.
To hide or show comments, click the "eye" icon in the top right corner.
