Check out LYB t-shirts on TeePublic!
LYB is what happens when you combine academia, birds in scarves, and the little joys of everyday life. It's the story of Little Yellow Bird, a goofy little critter based on my childhood nickname and academic experiences (so of course she always wears a scarf).
Each panel captures a moment in Little Yellow Bird's daily business that loosely reflects a real-life event on each listed date. Her co-stars are friends and family who graciously indulged me when faced with the Very Important Question "What kind of bird would you be?"
Finally, LYB is a kind of "sandbox comic" for a digital composing scholar who nerds out over process, design, and visual narrative. Half the fun of LYB is the creative work itself: making each image, developing the website, and improving a little every day. The other half is sharing it with the people I love, as a way of saying "thank you" for the joy they've brought to my life.
