Based on these analyses, these are the main ways in which I observe metaphors affecting pieces in the process of developing a webtext inscape. I organize the discussion by “type of effect” in order to emphasize the nature of the invention influence, particularly since the “type of metaphor” category can often exert more than one type of influence. I do not claim that these are the only kind of major impacts caused by people that happened on the entire 10-month webtext project; however, I do suggest that these are ways to categorize the impacts metaphors have on the webtext design process.
